My sister and I were dumped at the Kenton County Animal Shelter when our owners decided to get a divorce. Our dad took us there but he did not want to pay the fee to release us to the shelter so he lied and said we were found as strays. But he quickly got caught in his lies when mom came a few days later to get my sister. She did not want me because I was too old!! Lucky for me the shelter called HHGDR to come for me and they did not care that I was old!!

I will be looking for a new home soon but right now I need time to adjust to really being loved!! As you can see from the picture below I have not had nice soft beds to lay on and I am learning to enjoy being pampered! Plus the rescue is concerned about my one rear leg. I will go to the vet this week and have my leg checked out!

Update: I went to the Orthopedic Surgeon and got a clean bill of health. There is nothing wrong with my hips or legs actually the Vet said I was in great shape for my age!!

Okay who wants to adopt a handsome older Dane??

Please can you spare a few dollars to help the Rescue continue to help me and other Danes like me it would be greatly  appreciated.
