I was purchased from a Backyard Breeder and lived outside never stepping foot inside my owners home. My sister Hillary however lived in their home at least until our mom moved away then she too was kept outside all the time. Apparently mom could not stand the thought of Hillary living outside so she contacted the rescue and that same day we were brought to Harlequin Haven. Mom continued to show her favoritism by making me ride to the rescue in the back of a pickup truck and Hillary rode in the car!! As soon as we arrived at the rescue my new Grandma got me out of the truck and put some medicine on me to kill all the fleas and ticks that I was covered in.

We are both now inside dogs and I love being inside. I am a very good boy and work very hard everyday to show Grandma that I should continue to be a house dog. I have about 20 pounds to gain and also need to get my hair all back in (I lost my hair due to all the fleas I had)before I will be ready for adoption!!

Update August 10: Unfortunately it appears that the fleas were only part of my hair loss problem. I apparently have allergies and a severe case. I am continuing to receive medical care for the allergies and will update you as soon as we know what direction my treatment is headed.

Update September 30: Well no allergies and no answer as to why my hair was falling out except maybe poor nutrition! My hair has came back in and I have gained my weight and if I must say so myself I have turned out to be a handsome young man! Grandma promises to take my new picture real soon!!

Okay where is MY forever home????  I am ready and waiting!!!

Update October 12: Grandma sure is slow in her old age but good news she finally took my new picture!!

Please can you spare a few dollars to help the Rescue continue to help me and other Danes like me it would be greatly  appreciated. Without the rescue who knows where we would have ended up!!
